1. How do I send my scan to Evans Dental Laboratory?

Great question! How you send the scan will depend on the scanner you use. See below for forwarding instructions.

5. What are the Impression types?

Materials: 

  • Alginate Impression 

  • Heavy Body Impression 

  • Light Body Impression 

  • Digital Scan

Types: 

Preliminary Impression:

-The initial impression taken at the dentist’s office

​

Final Impression:

-The final impression taken by the dentist and sent to the dental laboratory

​

Wash Impression:

-An impression taken with light body impression on the intaglio surface of the denture in the patient’s mouth and sent to the dental lab. 

​

Pick-Up Impression:

-An impression taken with the appliance in the mouth where the appliance is picked up in the impression material and sent to the lab in the impression material.
